Reddish House
Wiltshire
Completion: 2004
Reddish, a Grade II Listed building built in the Eighteenth century, was owned for many years by Cecil Beaton who added charming theatrical details but never tackled the structural and maintenance problems of a house of this age.

Reddish is undergoing a thorough renovation with complete re-servicing to include state of the art mechanical and electrical systems. Every care has been taken in disguising the new pipes and wiring into this delicate structure while retaining its historic fabric.

New bathrooms, kitchen, pantries, underground cold room and specialist cabinetwork have been installed. The conservatory, which Beaton built, has been re-constructed with better weathering details and a new domed roof.

We are working with Simon Johnson, landscape designer, on creating terraces to temper the steep bank to the North side of the house.

The thatched cottages have been refitted as guest and staff accommodation. Jane Churchill is the Interior Designer.
