Millerton
New York
A small Victorian house in New York State was retained and extended to three times the size without humiliating the scale of the original building. There is a sleeping porch off the principal bedroom. The ground floor porch has glazed panels that replace the summer screens so that it can be used year round as a conservatory and dining room.

The house is built in the materials that are typical to the area: Stone base, painted wood siding, louvre shutters and cedar shingle roof.

This house is scheduled to be photographed in 2005 to feature in Architectural Digest.
